There are many variations on a wirobound book, so whilst there are standard designs, there is also the opportunity to create whatever book is required - endless opportunities to design for the purpose required.
Think of a wirobound book having three constituent parts:
Front and back cover - for the style, appearance and branding required.
Text pages - usually 80gsm paper, printed on one or both sides with
standard lines, or a bespoke 1 - 4 colour design.
Volume - the normal number of pages is 50, 80 or 100 sheets
(100, 160 or 200 pages), but this can vary as required.
The optional extras - the bits that make the book distinctive,
and designed to meet the marketing objective - can include:
-
a choice of wire colours
-
additional text pages (flyleaves) inserted in the book
-
coloured text pages instead of the standard white paper
-
an elastic closure
-
different print each side of the text page
-
add a paper/card pocket
-
a cd spider holder can be added
-
personalised names to the front cover
